Celebrity book clubs are currently over-saturating the market. Seeking book recommendations, but not sure where to start? Here’s how to find a celebrity book club that speaks to your soul.

By Jayne Turner – Staff Writer

For Those Who Want to Read, Then Watch

Reese’s Book Club with Reese Witherspoon has been a launchpad for a number of popular screen adaptations, including Daisy Jones and the Six, Where the Crawdads Sing, and Big Little Lies. If you want to be ahead of the curve on the next big book to screen adaptation, join Reese as she shares her favorites.

For the Homebody

Is the thought of leaving the house to search for a book a bit daunting? BELLATRIST by Emma Roberts has you covered. They are partnered with Tertulia to get the pick of the month shipped directly to your door every month. You can get fresh reads without leaving your bed!

For the Deep Diver

If you read a book and find yourself wondering more about the author, Kaia Gerber’s Library Science may be for you. Every month, she interviews authors and other figures to dive deeper into the book of the month. The author will offer insights into themes, characters, and what inspires them.

For Avid Readers

Is one book a month not going to cut it? Check out Oprah’s Book Club. As one of the first digital celebrity book clubs, she has a large collection (119 books and counting!) to choose from. If you can devour a book in a day, try making your way through her collection.

For Library Lovers

Laufey’s Book Club is a book club that encourages readers to go to physical libraries! LA County Library offers a Laufey Book Club Library Card, which allows access to all library resources. The Phoenix Public Library has a section for Laufey’s picks. Most recently, she has partnered with Little Free Library to bring “Little Laufey Libraries” with her on her North American tour. This book club is active within an Instagram account, making it the most hip book club on our list.

For the Sports Fanatic

Okay, so the books themselves aren’t actually about sports, but NFL quarterback Andrew Luck ran a book club from 2016-2020 that offered picks for rookies (kids) and veterans (adults). Hoping to show kids who play sports that reading is just as important, his book club shared books of all genres and created a community on social media. Though he is no longer actively running the club, archives of his selections can be accessed.

For the Activist

Our Shared Shelf by Emma Roberts is a place to find books about gender equality and feminism. Though no longer active, the archives are full of fantastic books that explore sisterhood in ways that will make you laugh, then cry.

Though this list is by no means complete, I hope it offers some insight into a celebrity book club that is right for you and your interests! When in doubt, look to the stars.
